摘要: Surgery is the only treatment that may cure patient with gastroenteropancreatic (GEP) neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) and should always be considered as first-line if radical resection can achieved. Even in cases where surgery not possible, palliative performed to reduce local or hormone-induced symptoms improve quality of life. The surgical procedures for GEP-NENs are accordingly described below. In most patients life-long follow-up required, even following surgery, recurrence occur several years later.
