摘要: Nowadays, distributed development is common in software development. Besides many advantages, research the last decade has consistently found that distribution a negative impact on collaboration general, and communication delay time to complete tasks particular. Adapted processes, practices, tools are demanded overcome these challenges. We report an empirical study of structures IBM's project Jazz. The Jazz explicitly focuses adapted processes known challenges. We explore effect distance task completion use social network analysis obtain insights about project. discuss our findings light existing literature delays. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
