摘要: This report presents key findings from a small-scale pilot research project that explored the experiences and priorities of young people caring for their siblings in sibling-headed households affected by AIDS Tanzania Uganda. Qualitative participatory was conducted with 33 living 39 NGO staff community members rural urban areas The analyses ways manage transitions to younger following parents’ death impacts on family relations, education, emotional wellbeing health, social lives adulthood. study highlights gendered- age-related differences nature extent people’s care work discusses needs action, based views people, members. Meeting basic households, listening views, fostering peer support relationships trust supportive adults, raising awareness advocacy emerge as safeguard rights children challenge stigma marginalisation they sometimes face.
