摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter describes structure and catalytic role of the functional groups aspartate aminotransferase (AAT). AAT is a particularly interesting enzyme because its activity duplicated, though with much smaller efficiency, by coenzyme moiety, even in absence specific apoprotein. An impressive mass information on function has been obtained recent years. The general pattern chemical events occurring at active site established; reaction proceeds through great number discrete steps, each which fast it catalyzed suitably disposed enzyme; conformational changes contribute to placing various involved most appropriate position for catalysis step.
