摘要: Abstract Although it has been used in research or technical work, applying synthetic rainfall data series to estimate erosivity is still a tool that requires careful evaluation and validation. In this study we evaluate the potential use of sets index (R-factor) order validate throughout Brazil. Sub-hourly from 141 pluviographic stations were used. Pluviographic generated ClimaBR software. A computer routine was specifically developed identify erosive rainfalls. R-factor calculated events series, as well through regression equations proposed literature. It observed method estimating (SS) had satisfactory performance superior based on empirical (EE). The results indicate valid potentially applicable alternative. Moreover, its application Brazil showed no needs for calibration. Due these results, believe R-factors can be each station country by using SS, creating useful map with wide distribution
