摘要: Clear cell change is seen in <1% of colonic tubular adenomas (TAs) and remains incompletely characterized. Associated adenocarcinomas can also demonstrate a clear phenotype. Eleven TAs with at least focal or without associated invasive adenocarcinoma, from 10 patients were studied. The lesions stained periodic acid-Schiff (PAS)/PAS-diastase immunolabeled antibodies to MUC2, MUC5AC, MUC6, CK7, CK20, CDX2. Eight 11 (77%) had extensive high-grade dysplasia. Two adenocarcinoma. ranged 0.5 3.5 cm. PAS/PAS-diastase stains showed minimal PAS(+) material the cells. On immunohistochemical studies, cells decreased MUC2 labeling compared surrounding conventional adenoma 9 (88%) cases, including 2 adenocarcinomas. In 3 lesions, background TA MUC5 immunoreactivity, their area all cases. No immunoreactivity MUC6 was observed Compared TA, both increased expression CK20 (in quantity), CDX2 intensity) One other CDX2-focal positive.
