摘要: The sound a robot or automated system makes and the sounds it listens for in our shared acoustic environment can greatly expand its contextual understanding to shape behaviors interactions is trying perform. People convey significant information with interpersonal communication social contexts. Para-linguistic about where we are, how loud we're speaking, if happy, sad upset are relevant understand that looks adapt be socially appropriate. Similarly, qualities of an object change people perceive alter whether not attracts attention, interrupts other interactions, reinforces contradicts emotional expression, as such should aligned designer's intention object. In this tutorial, will introduce participants software design methods help robots recognize generate human-robot interaction (HRI). Using open-source tools designers apply their own robots, seek increase application stimulate HRI research sound.
