摘要: The influence of the axial length (AL) eye on flash electroretinogram (ERG) responses has been well established in literature, suggesting an association between ERG abnormalities with myopia (AL > 25 mm). aim our present study was to determine whether AL normal eyes can also pattern (PERG) subjects. Thirty-nine volunteers were subjected PERG measurements following standard set by International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology Vision (ISCEV). eyeball measured using a TOMEY ultrasonic A scanner. Each volunteer had complete ophthalmic examination including visual acuity, refraction, intraocular pressure, field, colour vision, orthoptic assessment and retinal photographs best corrected acuity 6/9 or better. Only one from each 39 included statistical analysis results. group mean P50 amplitude 3.8 ± 1.1 SD μV. range 21.8 25.7 mm (mean = 23.8 1.0 Overall findings obtained this investigation indicate significant correlation (Spearman rank coefficient r −0.413, p < 0.01). accounts 17% variance observed values. This confirms current hypothesis that is inversely related means should be considered when interpreting amplitudes.
