Echocardiography in the horse.

摘要: Echocardiograms were obtained from 25 standing, clinically normal horses, using an ultrasonic recording device. The echobeam penetrated the right thoracic wall in area of 4th to 5th intercostal space, with a frequency 2.5 mHz. Measurements left ventricular thickness generated mean value 3.2 +/- 0.18 (SEM)cm, whereas chamber diameter diastole was 9.3 0.30 cm and systole 5.7 0.23 cm. aortic root dimensions had 7.7 cm, SEM 0.16. Mitral valve closing slope (E-F) calculated be 17.7 0.87 mm/second, percentage delta D, correlate ejection fraction, 38.6 1.6%.
