摘要: A new approach for the resection of tumors superior sulcus is described. The exposure gained through a proximal median sternotomy extended into anterior fourth intercostal space as well to base neck on appropriate side. This guarantees excellent tumor, subclavian artery, and brachial plexus access ribs posteriorly border vertebral bodies. Hilar dissection readily accomplished without change patient's position. Disadvantages relate depth exposure, especially in large individuals, complicated wound closure.
