摘要: Ficolins are proteins that consist mainly of two domains: an N-terminal collagen- like domain and a C-terminal fibrinogen-like domain. This structure is related to MBL or C1q, subcomponent the complement C1 complex in having collagenous stalk. Like ficolin monomer assembles multimeric form via trimers. Accumulating data indicate one most important functions bind carbohydrates, which responsible for The carbohydrate specificities have suggested able distinguish between pathogens self. Indeed, binds certain kinds bacteria through its lectin activity. Interestingly, MBL, some ficolins complexes with MASPs can activate complements pathway. All these results suggest eliminate non-self innate immunity as recognition molecule.
