摘要: This review summarizes the state-of-the-art knowledge of usage poly(hydroxy alkanoate)s in medical and sanitary applications. Depending on monomers incorporated into polymers copolymers, this class exhibits a broad range (thermo-)plastic properties, enabling their processing by, e.g., solution casting or melt extrusion. In review, strategies for polymer analogous modification these materials surfaces are highlighted correlated with potential applications corresponding blends. While commercial availability purified PHAs is addressed brief, special focus put (bio-)degradability ways to influence degradation mechanism and/or duration degradation.
