摘要: We perceive our own body and the world surrounding us via multiple sources of sensory information derived from several modalities, including vision, touch audition. To enable interactions with environment this has to converge into a coherent unambiguous multimodal percept world. But how does brain come up such unique percept? In chapter I review model that in statistical sense describes an optimal integration mechanism. The benefit integrating comes reduction variance final perceptual estimate. Furthermore, point out scheme can be incorporated larger framework using Bayesian decision theory (BDT).
