摘要: This series of Tools for Decision-makers on Integrated Sustainable Waste Management presents a unique approach to municipal waste management. is concept, analytic framework and assessment that pays attention aspects often neglected in conventional covers institutional, social, environmental, technical financial aspects, while emphasising the critical role variety stakeholders including pickers, women microand small enterprises play every day management operations such as collection, treatment, reuse, recycling prevention. The Urban Expertise Programme (1995-2001) was coordinated by WASTE funded Netherlands Agency International Cooperation (DGIS) Ministry Foreign Affairs. In UWEP programme wide array partner organisations collaborated. Most important among them were CAPS Philippines, CEK Mali, IPES Peru, ACEPESA Costa Rica Wise India.
