摘要: This study examined the long-term effectiveness of permeable pavement as an alternative to traditional impervious asphalt in a parking area. Four commercially available systems were evaluated after 6 years daily usage for structural durability, ability infiltrate precipitation, and impacts on water quality. All four showed no major signs wear. Virtually all rainwater infiltrated through pavements, with almost surface runoff. The had significantly lower levels copper zinc than direct runoff from Motor oil was detected 89% samples but not any sample pavement. Neither lead nor diesel fuel sample. Infiltrate measured 5 earlier displayed higher concentrations lead.
