摘要: Abstract This paper presents a consistent nonlinear 3-D finite element approach, adopted by the author over last ten years, for analysing steel, cold-formed stainless steel and composite columns at ambient fire conditions. The main parameters affecting which has accounted material properties of column cross-sections elevated temperatures, initial local overall geometric imperfections residual stresses, are highlighted in this paper. approach could be easily extended to study constructed from other materials or built-up using different sections. also up-to-date review previously published experimental numerical investigations highlighting stability aforementioned temperatures. In addition, highlights design rules specified current codes practice columns. Furthermore, presents, as examples, comparisons analysis results, reported author, with values calculated practice. overall, aims stress fact that consistent, robust efficient models improve assess accuracy Also, better understanding structural performance cold condition is essential analyse behaviour under severe
