Improved Drought Resistance in Introgression Lines Derived from Lolium multiflorum x Festuca arundinacea Hybrids

摘要: In a back-crossing programme involving Lolium multiflorum (the recurrent parent) and Festuca arundinacea, the diploid L. phenotype was rapidly recovered with inclusion, in some progeny, of small number genes from fescue parent. field drought trials derivatives these backcross populations were on average less resistant than parental populations, but 3 % individuals as F. arundinacea. After only one cycle selection polycrossing drought-resistant Lolium-like plants, mean resistance most progeny lines significantly improved, cases to near that Available evidence strongly indicates this improved due transfer genetic material into Lolium. These will contribute variety improvement our understanding genetics physiology resistance.
