HR Managers’ Emotions in Strategic Decision-Making Events: Evidence from Croatia

摘要: The inclusion of emotions in the strategic decision-making research is long overdue. This paper deals with that human resource managers experience when they participate a problem-solving event or planning event. We examine patterns intensity experienced regard to appraisal (from personal perspective and organization’s perspective), job satisfaction, coexistence emotions. results reveal enthusiasm most intensely emotion for positively appraised events, while frustration negatively as disappointment planning. distinction between organizational reveals differences emotions, anger best indicator difference appraisals from perspective. Both events variety involved of—not just various but also different dominant valence. findings indicate triggers greater emotional turmoil than discusses theoretical practical implications.
