摘要: In the United States in past 20 years there has been an intensive study of role extended pelvic surgery treatment advanced or recurrent carcinoma within pelvis. The concept ultraradical sprang up simultaneously several different clinics but was given impetus by publications Brunschwig and Appleby appearing 1948 1950. reported his initial results exenteration uterine cervix. on “proctocystectomy” rectum males. One Appleby’s patients a 7 year survivor this operation, having operated upon 1943. My own excursion into field occurred 1940 1941 at Ellis Fischel State Cancer Hospital Columbia, Missouri, where few were just before World War II. these cases not good because poor selection for operation problem urinary diversion solved.
