摘要: Plants are subject to damage by a wide variety of threats and varying degrees destruction. Sustained induces changes in plant traits, the effects such damage-induced responses on abundance impact insect herbivores is well documented. Although may indirectly influence other either positively or negatively, little known about positive indirect effects. This chapter focuses three different threats: natural disturbances, mammals, insects. In some cases, have effect producing new source food, microhabitat, and/or changing defense chemicals. Therefore, potentially enhance biodiversity communities terrestrial plants.
