摘要: The establishment and succession of bacterial communities in hospitalized preterm infants has not been extensively studied. Because earlier studies depended on classical cultural techniques, their results were limited. This study monitored the neonatal microbiota first weeks life by analyzing 16S rDNA variety fecal samples applying PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE). Fecal from 29 a intensive care unit, including antibiotic-treated one with necrotizing enterocolitis, subjected to PCR-DGGE analysis. Daily DGGE profiles all during 4 wk obtained analyzed. In addition, feces 15 breast-fed, full-term clinical isolates examined compared infants. During days life, rather simple but increased complexity over time. It became obvious that only intraindividual band-pattern similarity time, also interindividual. observation period, values (Cs) each infant 0 80%, whereas interindividual Cs 18.1 57.4%, revealing acquisition highly similar community these contrast, Cs-values for low (11.2%). Escherichia coli, Enterococcus sp., Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria most commonly found composition is more comparison necessarily influenced birth weight, diet, or antibiotic treatment.
