摘要: Chronic wounds are commonly associated with high morbidity rates due to the patient's need of frequent dressing changes and repeated visits outpatient wound clinic. Furthermore, chronic often characterised by severe pain, which can cause significant disability patient. New technologies aim develop an optimal device reduce discomfort patient heal wounds. The Rexon-age® is introduced for first time in healing, preliminary data on clinical histological results shown. From April 2014 2015, 11 patients - 7 females 4 males were enrolled present study. study was conducted at Plastic Reconstructive Institute Universita degli Studi di Torino, Citta della Salute e Scienza Italy. For characterisation, pre- post-treatment biopsies bed performed. Data regarding age, gender, weight, height, comorbidity, drug therapy topical pre-treatment dressings collected as well. Moreover, local factors follows: aetiology, formation until Rexon-age treatment, dimensions, bed, moisture, margins anatomical region wound. A visual analogue scale (VAS) used monitor pain before after each treatment. treatment resulted improvement granulation tissue contraction. a reduction observed painkillers usage. Among these Rexon-age-treated patients, three displayed 60-80% intensity, two showed complete relief. In follow-up appointments, we registered long-term durability As assessed analyses, all nine revealed decreased amount inflammatory cells lower expression levels metalloproteinases (e.g. MMP9). We increased capillary thrombosis well up-regulation vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression. current presents evidence that Rexon-age-based significantly ameliorate accelerate healing process Although this analysed only small number could consistently observe positive effects both aspect lesions, underwent size reactivation, quality life our
