摘要: ABSTRACT Salsnes Filter delivers a technology used for primary treatment of wastewater. The could be described as rotating belt sieve with continuously air cleaning the cloth. process is referred to ‘Salsnes filtration’ throughout text. filtration can point out particularly high efficiency, but it not fully understood how this obtained. Furthermore clear should operated achieve ‘optimum performance’. In an attempt understand this, both theoretical and experimental approach have been applied; hence paper consists two main parts. part, different fouling mechanisms are described, explained these affect hydraulic resistance cloth resulting filtrate flux through it. sieving under pressure conditions has explored. It was succeeded in obtaining data suitable statistical analyses, some useful suggestions were given. Most importantly, may beneficial establish particle cake pres-sure since provides low permeability. found that upholding sufficient counteract relatively small decrease results significant fluxes. concluded strive minimum decline ratio between difference order most uni-form sieve, which thought ensure highest efficiency.
