摘要: The growing preeminence of science and technology in today’s world no longer fits into most existing analytical frameworks. Material elements, technical instruments, scientific practices are intertwined with basically every aspect global politics. Nevertheless, the discipline International Relations (IR) as a whole tends to conceptualize this topic an exogenous phenomenon. By adopting notion techno-politics, we argue that it is neither sufficient treat sciences technologies external “social” relations, nor dominating human behavior determining political outcomes. We propose rather open up middle zone order study intersection international affairs. Conceptually, techno-politics involves two broad sets approaches: interaction co-production. This introductory chapter presents chapters volume examples how politics might be studied. As toolbox methodological insights, contributions also point towards pathways for future research enhances subfield IR.
