摘要: Pulse wave velocity is widely used as an index of arterial distensibility. The aim this study was to evaluate the accuracy a new automatic device measure it and then analyze major determinants pulse by application in large population. We evaluated on-line computerized measurement using algorithm based on time-shifted repeated linear correlation calculation between initial rise pressure waveforms compared with reference method (manual calculation) 56 subjects. results, analyzed according recommendations Bland Altman, showed mean difference -0.20 +/- 0.45 m/s for carotid-femoral values (reference method, 11.05 2.58 m/s; device, 10.85 2.44 m/s). interreproducibility intrareproducibility measurements each were use repeatability coefficient British Standards Institution. interobserver 0.947 manual 0.890 automatic, intraobserver coefficients 0.938 0.935, respectively. measured separate performed 418 subjects both sexes without any cardiovascular treatment or complication (18 77 years age; 98 222 mm Hg systolic 62 130 diastolic pressure).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
