摘要: This work describes the out-of-plane linear elastic mechanical properties of trichiral, tetrachiral and hexachiral honeycomb configurations. Analytical models are developed to calculate transverse Young’s modulus Voigt Reuss bounds for shear stiffness. Finite Element validate analytical results, identify dependence stiffness vs. gauge thickness honeycombs. The then validated with experimental results from flatwise compressive simple tests on samples produced rapid prototype (RP)-based techniques.
