摘要: Iron overloads in liver and heart are detected vivo by nuclear resonant scattering (NRS) technique. The method is based on the of 847 keV gamma ray from first level 56Fe. source radiation provided 56MnCl2 maintained a gaseous phase anevacuated quartz vial at 1030°C. It was observed that time dependent NRS yield, an iron slab, differed appreciably 2.58 hr. half-life 56Mn. Inasmuch as system responds only to phase, discrepancy attributed interaction between walls vial. Fused silica vials fused demonstrate entirely different behavior.
