摘要: Considering the rapid changes in land use tropical countries and difficulties of law enforcement remote areas, management ecosystems benefits from landscape approach. Within approach it is important to assess different livelihoods local populations, as well vulnerability that are supporting these livelihoods. Specifically for wetlands rural areas face fast developing agro-industrial change, there little information available on attitude stakeholders considering they manage. We used a combination participatory appraisal mapping methods Amazonian Piedmont region Colombia, an area has hardly ever been studied. found 77.7 % current depend directly provisioning ecosystem services delivered by wetlands, where fishing hunting most contribute household income. Ecotourism, which emerging promising source income, was also pointed one key service. However, our results revealed study very vulnerable (up 41 % endangered). The main causes wetland deterioration were cattle ranching, invasive grasses, deforestation, drainage, burning. conclude with brief overview pros cons reconciling conservation human development sensitive regions such Colombia other similar Tropics.
