摘要: Abstract Cognitive development may be influenced by maternal nutrition especially fats. Indian population is vegetarian and main source of fat dairy. This study investigates the effect dairy consumption during pregnancy in an animal model on fatty acids, brain neurotrophins (brain derived neurotrophic factor: BDNF; nerve growth NGF) cognitive performance adult offspring. Pregnant Wistar rats were assigned to control (Control C) four treatment groups: High diet (HFD); supplemented with omega-3 acids (HFDO); deficient vitamin B12 (HFBD); (HFBDO).
