摘要: Euterpe oleracea (Acai) fruit are widely consumed at the Brazilian Amazon region, and biological potentials such as immunomodulatory antioxidant have been described for its extracts. However, antimicrobial properties remain poorly investigated. Here, antibiofilm activities of methanolic extract an artisanally-manufactured acai pulp (MEAP) were evaluated against clinical isolates Staphylococcus aureus. Besides, MEAP interference on activity drugs relevance was explored, cytotoxicity hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HepG2) Biochemical physicochemical investigated, presence polyphenols confirmed. For first time, we report that is effective planktonic biofilms S. aureus, also decreased proliferation HepG2 cells. Statistically significant synergism observed when combined to tested antimicrobials except erythromycin, all biochemical parameters ranged within accepted values established by legislation. Our data open doors more studies phytomolecules isolated from extracts, use with drugs.
