摘要: Most remarkable dental features of juvenile and adult specimens Andescynodon mendozensis Bonaparte (Cynodontia, Traversodontidae) are described. The craneomandibular representatives this species share -with slight variations- a common structural pattern among Traversodontidae Puestoviejan Reptile age-i.e., Andescynodon, Pascualgnathus Rusconiodon-, An adjusted occlusal mechanism is inferred, with mainly orthal mandibular movements an "occlusal guide" system represented by the complex canines-paracanine fossae. postcanine morphology A. inferred masticatory mechanisms suggest opportunistic dietary habits for species, probably omnivorous or omnivore-insectivorous habits, but not strictly herbivore.
