摘要: Cancer, the dreadful disease, is one of burning issues that need collective efforts to successfully combat and cure. Chemotherapy among many options like surgery, radiation therapy, targeted molecular therapy etc., which widely used treat certain types cancer, but its use restricted for adverse side-effects most chemotherapeutic drugs. A comprehensive search by utilizing data from Pubmed, Cochrane Library, Embase ISI Web Knowledge some related books was made gain insight into modern trend research obstacles come in way waging a successful war against cancer. The toxic by-products drugs are deposited mainly liver producing hepatotoxicity, leading loss appetite, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramps constipation, anemia, fatigue, hyperthermia, hair etc. In this review, benefits problems chemotherapy have been highlighted scope combined with biologically based complementary alternative medicines (CAM) derived herbal products dietary supplements, plant extracts their active components, nano-encapsulated forms discussed.
