摘要: The objective of this chapter is to describe conditions where the classical laws mass action and diffusion no longer apply biological systems, particularly neurons other types cells. This type phenomena typically takes place at nano- micro-scale levels. An increasing number studies show that process dominated by Brownian motion cannot be directly applied Instead, a called anomalous seems fundamental propagation biochemical signals. Anomalous implies an increase in correlation movement among diffusing molecules, which basis deviation from phenomena. Such has important consequences not only on molecules inside cells but also their reaction rates. We first structural causes stochastic simulation algorithms can used computationally simulate its effects. end describing another cause diffusion, molecular crowding, speculations significance these for neural function.
