摘要: Tear resistance is of vital importance in the various functions skin, especially protection from predatorial attack. Here, we mechanistically quantify extreme tear skin and identify underlying structural features, which lead to its sophisticated failure mechanisms. We explain why it virtually impossible propagate a rabbit chosen as model material for dermis vertebrates. express deformation terms four mechanisms collagen fibril activity under tensile loading that eliminate possibility tearing pre-notched samples: straightening, reorientation towards direction, elastic stretching interfibrillar sliding, all contribute redistribution stresses at notch tip.
