摘要: The absorption spectrum of Ca 1 in the Schumann ultra-violet has been photographed by means a King furnace and 3 m vacuum spectrograph. Of 82 lines found, 81 are classified reasonably six series two-electron transitions, viz. 4 1S0-3dnp,nf1,3P10, 3D10, remaining line being probably 1S0-4p5s 1P10, which mixes strongly with former series. Pronounced effects configuration mixing 3d np, nf levels amongst themselves 4s E(1)0 continua (`autoionization') present. With same apparatus singlet principal series, 1S0-4snp extended from n = 13 to 33, leading an improved value for ionization potential. level previously ascribed 4s6p 1P10 is now identified as 3d4p 1P10.
