NEXUS: towards a problem solving environment (PSE) for scientific computing

摘要: This paper gives a brief historical perspective on the first author's use of information systems in mathematical consulting. Experience this area has led to conclusion that numerical analysts must look beyond conventional expert if they are be successful reaching general scientific user community. With increasing personal workstations it is necessary give and advice while at computer terminal. In opinion authors ideal way doing through programming environment offers interaction with order actually solve user's problem.Such an come called Problem Solving Environment or PSE.
