摘要: The blood flow behaviors in the microvessels determine transport modes and further affect metastasis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs). Much biochemical biological efforts have been made on CTC metastasis; however, precise experimental measurement accurate theoretical prediction its mechanical mechanism are limited. To complement these, numerical modeling a extravasation from circulation, including steps adhesion transmigration, is discussed this chapter. results demonstrate that CTCs prefer to adhere at positive curvature curved microvessels, which attributed wall shear stress/gradient. Then, effects particulate nature investigated found be significant microvessels. Furthermore, presence red cell (RBC) aggregates also promote by providing an additional wall-directed force. Finally, single passing through narrow slit, mimicking was examined under deformability. It showed shape surface area increase play more important role than elasticity transit across slit.
