摘要: OBJECTIVE: Extend findings with young children by examining the strength of association activity level, parent mental distress, and parental involvement monitoring fifth graders' unintentional injuries. METHODS: Ordinal logistic regression models were used to predict injury frequency among 4745 fifth-graders. Examined predictors included demographics, reports temperamental level (tendency be fidgety, restless, constantly in motion), adolescents' lives. RESULTS: Higher levels both distress predicted more frequent CONCLUSIONS: As has been found younger children, injuries graders are associated child characteristics. The result is discussed context adolescent development. Implications include those for prevention (multi-dimensional strategies that incorporate environmental modifications as well training youth parents) future research (study potential mechanisms behind risk behavior via longitudinal experimental research; study during this phase development).
