摘要: BACKGROUND Metal sulfide recovery in sulfate reducing bioreactors is a challenge due to the formation of small precipitates with poor settling properties. The size metal change operational parameters such as pH, concentration and reactor configuration has been previously studied. effect hydraulic retention time (HRT) on precipitate characteristics particle for not yet addressed. RESULTS The (Cu, Zn, Pb Cd) function HRT was studied two inversed fluidized bed (IFB) reactors operating at different chemical oxygen demand concentrations produce high low concentrations. decrease from 24 9 h both IFB affected contact formed, thus making differences aggregation growth regardless concentration. Further 4.5 h activity production hence, supersaturation level solid phase speciation. Metal community biofilm, probably because stronger local causing sulfides accumulation biofilm. CONCLUSIONS This study shows that an important factor determining rate formed bioreactors. © 2013 Society Chemical Industry
