摘要: The early development of textiles involved use natural materials like cotton, wool and flax. advent the new technology revolutionized which enables to develop synthetic fibers lycra®, a segmented polyurethane-urea, has exceptional elastic properties, Kevlar®, ultra high strength properties is used as bulletproof vest. For improvement personal mobility, health care rehabilitation, it requires integrate novel sensing actuating functions textiles. Fundamental challenge in smart textile that drapability manufacturability should not be affected. Textile fabrics embedded with sensors, piezoelectric materials, flame retardant super hydrophobic controlled drug release systems temperature adaptable can play major role advanced high-tech military clothes. Advancement capacity improving comfort, mobility protection diverse hostile environment. In this study, advancement energy harvesting textiles, engineering are presented.Defence Science Journal, 2013, 63(3), pp.331-339, DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.14429/dsj.63.2756
