摘要: Polymerization of methacrylates with t-butylithium/bis(2,6-di-t-butylphenoxy)methylaluminu: in toluene at low temperature gives heterotactic polymers which comprise an alternating sequence meso (m) and racemo (r) diads. In this paper, the effect addition non-polymerizable esters on stereoselectivity polymerization was examined. methyl methacrylate, either bulky or less scarcely affects propagating anions. contrast, such as ethyl pivalate methacrylate (EMA) increased heterotactic-selectivity m-ended anions slightly without sacrificing high r-ended anions, while isobutyrate decreased drastically a slight increase The use component mixed solvent - 95°C improved both giving poly(EMA) mr=94%.
