摘要: Abstract A quantum theory of elastic scattering atoms from crystal surfaces is presented, based on a hard corrugated surface model. It shown in detail how the rainbow effect arises and determines diffraction probabilities, such being analogon McClure's classical rainbow. Further topics considered are influence potential well reasons why hardly occurs metal surfaces. The basis for possible extension to inelastic sketched.
