摘要: Brown adipose tissue (BAT) dissipates energy to produce heat. Thus, it has the potential regulate body temperature by thermogenesis. For last decade, BAT been in spotlight due its rediscovery adult humans. This is evidenced over a hundred clinical trials that are currently registered target as therapeutic tool treatment of metabolic diseases, such obesity or diabetes. The goal most these activate thermogenic program via several approaches adrenergic stimulation, natriuretic peptides, retinoids, capsinoids, thyroid hormones, glucocorticoids. However, impact activation on total consumption and effect weight loss still limited. Other studies have focused increasing mass BAT. can be relevant obesity, where activity abundance shown drastically reduced. aim this review describe pathological processes associated with may influence correct differentiation BAT, catecholamine resistance, inflammation, oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress. will shed light approach obesity-induced diseases.
