Gill morphometry in growth hormone transgenic Atlantic salmon

摘要: We show that many of the morphological features respiratory system growth enhanced transgenic salmon are greater than those similarly sized control salmon. Growth hormone Atlantic salmon, Salmo salar were F2 generation produced using eggs from a F1 female and milt nontransgenic male. At time gill tissues sampled, growing 2.1 times more rapidly they had oxygen uptake rates about 1.6 In present study we surface area available for exchange in is 1.24 which does not parallel elevation uptake. The increase was due largely to relatively uniform length each filament.
