摘要: We examine the implications of electrostatic interactions on formation polyelectrolyte multilayers, in application to field-effect based biosensors for label-free detection charged macromolecules. present a quantitative model describe experimental potentiometric observations and discuss its possibilities limitations adsorption. influence ionic strength pH sensor response upon layer-by-layer formation. The magnitude potential oscillations sensor-electrolyte interface predicted repetitive adsorption charge-alternating polymers agrees satisfactorily with results. accounts different screening by mobile ions electrolyte inside tightly interdigitated multilayered structure. In particular, we show that sensors' are larger more persistent at lower salt conditions, while they decay faster number layers higher agreement experiments. effects layer thickness, substrate potential, charge regulation surface triggered deposition also analyzed.
