摘要: Dynamic tensile tests have been performed, using physiologically relevant frequencies and stress ranges, on various tendons from the legs tails of 10 species mammal. No consistent differences were found between different or anatomical sites. Tangent Young's modulus increases low values at stresses to about 1·5 GPa exceeding 30 MPa. Percentage energy dissipations 6 11% measured for species, but lower are probably most reliable. There is little no dependence dissipation frequency, in range 0·2–11 Hz. The strength tendon (at strain rates order 0·05 s−1) least 100
