摘要: The total ozone reduction in the Arctic during winters of 1993/94 and 1994/95 has been evaluated using ground-based measurements five SAOZ spectrometers distributed from number density profiles a balloon-borne version instrument. change resulting transport removed 3D Chemistry Transport Model (CTM) run without chemistry. A cumulative depletion at end winter March 18% ± 4% 1994 32% 1995 was observed within polar vortex, 15% both years outside vortex. This evaluation is not sensitive to vertical model. periods, locations altitudes which loss occurred were tightly connected temperatures lower than NAT condensation temperature. maximum 50 hPa lower, 60-80 hPa, 1995. Half three quarters early winter, showing that late final warming prerequisite for large destruction northern hemisphere. timing, geographical location altitude losses are well captured by CTM photochemical model current chemistry, but its amplitude low sun underestimated. simulations also capture season reductions suggests situ when frequent, later March, most reduced inside would be case if leakage vortex cause depletion.
