摘要: Expansion of the airway wall vascular compartment has recently been established as a feature asthma involving both enlargement existing structures and formation new vessels (angiogenesis). Both processes are likely to occur together fundamental for supporting many aspects tissue inflammation remodeling manifest in clinical symptoms disease. Multiple growth factors implicated angiogenesis, with endothelial factor among most important. Other asthma-associated stimuli, including ADAM33, environmental tobacco smoke, rhinovirus infection, emerging proangiogenic regulators.
