摘要: Abstract The rocks at Tenzuela represent the only known outcrop of HP metabasites in internal sectors Iberian Belt, vast Central Zone (CIZ). These appear as lenses meta-tholeiites continental affinity intruded within Neoproterozoic metasedimentary sequences. mafic types have high Th/Yb and Ta/Yb ratios that suggest, combined with initial eNd values ranging from + 4.4 to + 6.0, derivation a slightly enriched mantle source. SHRIMP zircon data indicate an Early Ordovician age ( 206 Pb/ 238 U mean 473 ± 2 Ma) for this magmatic event. However, U–Pb do not yield constrained high-pressure metamorphic event undergone by metabasites, which nevertheless can be estimated just before 335 Ma, during Variscan collision. rarely overpass peak pressure conditions 15 kbar, thus are remarkably lower than those eclogites related oceanic subduction ophiolite- or allochthonous complexes NW Iberia. On other hand, these pressures similar intercalated orthogneisses along Coimbra–Cordoba Shear Zone, boundary Ossa-Morena (OMZ). In regard, new geochronological set together already published ages shows subduction-related (allochthonous complexes) older (Lower Middle Devonian) more intracontinental settings, mostly recrystallized Visean. Thus, studied should form part inner, diachronous belt European orogen, far away main front. Nevertheless, suggested geodynamic scenario needs future confirmation accurate metamorphism.
