摘要: Donzelli, B. G. G, and Churchill, A. C. L. 2007. A quantitative assay using mycelial fragments to assess virulence of Mycosphaerella fijiensis. Phytopathology 97:916-929. We describe a method evaluate the fijiensis, causal agent black leaf streak disease (BLSD) banana plantain. The is based on delivery weighed slurries fragmented mycelia by camel’s hair brush 5-by-5-cm areas abaxial surface blades. Reliable BLSD development was attained in an environmental growth chamber with stringent lighting humidity controls. By localizing inoculum onto small large leaves, we achieved dramatic increase number strains that can be tested each plant, which critical for comparing numerous concurrently. Image analysis software used measure percentage inoculated section showing symptoms over time. demonstrated level four isolates correlated weight mycelium applied relatively insensitive degree fragmentation hyphae. This first report demonstrating inoculum, combined image severity, quantitatively M. fijiensis under rigorously controlled conditions.
